Register SDMX files and web services
The IMF SDMX Central provides data registration services via the web user interface, and web services.
Registering Data via the Web Interface
Please navigate directly to the login button when accessing IMF SDMX Central. The login can also be accessed directly using the following link:

Once logged in, the home page will display your Data Dashboard. This shows all the Provision Agreements that you have been configured to supply data for.

On selecting a Provision Agreement, the option to create a ‘New Registration’ is given in the available actions below the table, as shown above.
Click on the ‘New Registration’ button to open up the ‘Register Data Source’ interface, shown below.

Simply enter the URL of the data source and then click ‘Register Data Source’. The SDMX Central will action the registration with immediate effect.
In order to first validate and visualize the data before registration, follow the validation process described in the article Convert Excel to SDMX.
Once a data registration has been made, the selected provision agreement will show a number of further actions that can be taken.

Re-Registering Data via Web Service
SDMX Central provide a web service for which to submit SDMX Registration Documents. To re-register via the SDMX Central web service, an SDMX Registration Document must be submitted. This is an SDMX (XML) document and contains a reference to the Registration via a unique id. The SDMX Central UI will automatically generate a template document that can be used to send to the web service. To create a SDMX document the ‘Automate Registration’ (shown in the image below).

By clicking on this an SDMX-ML file will be downloaded to your browser’s download area. The document will contain SDMX looking similar to the following:

This file can be POSTed to the SDMX Central web service to update the registered datasource at the given URL:
