eGDDS: Online Help with Open Data Platform (ODP)
This article provides an overview of the steps country authorities
need to take to implement the enhanced General Data Dissemination System
(e-GDDS) using the Open Data Platform (ODP). Background information about
e-GDDS is located on the IMF's Data
Dissemination Bulletin Board.
The links below provide detailed instructions
on the main areas of work to implement e-GDDS.
The e-GDDS, which supersedes the former General
Data Dissemination System, was established on July 1, 2015. The system aims to
encourage member countries to improve data quality; provide a framework for
evaluating needs for data improvement and setting priorities in this respect;
and guide member countries in the dissemination to the public of comprehensive,
timely, accessible, and reliable economic, financial, and socio-demographic
statistics.
